Actor, Writer, & Filmmaker

Tova is an award-winning actor, writer, and filmmaker. She has worked with BAFTA winners, Emmy nominees, Tribeca alums, and first-time filmmakers.

As an actor, she recently played a PTA mom (YOUNG HOT DIVORCÉE), a mistress to the President (POTUS), a high strung new mother (BABY BUMPS), a depressed corporate millennial (ALRIGHT ROBOT), and a quirky cult leader (FROM THE FLESH).

Her stand up comedy has been supported by Amy Poehler and Barbara Streisand.

As a writer, she has written about female friendship, motherhood, and mental health. She publishes regular essays about filmmaking as a spiritual practice.

Tova’s films have won BEST OF FEST (Glass Ceiling Breakers), BEST COMEDY (Yonkers Film Festival), BEST SCREENPLAY (Best Shorts Competition), BEST LEAD ACTRESS (Best Shorts Competition), and BEST SHORT OF NEW ENGLAND (Mass Indie Film Fest).

Tova is an alum of Northwestern University’s PhD in Theatre, Harvard University’s Mellon School of Theatre and Performance, and Carleton College. She was awarded “Least Likely to Engage in Petty Drama” in high school.
